Name: Rai Kumaki
Race: Human
Weight: She still isn't telling.
Height: 5' 5.5"
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Alignment: (Lawful Neutral)
Allegiance: Kyodai Empire
description: Rai emigrated at age nineteen to escape the fast-paced materialism of Yaku Sima, and found herself on Buddah. There she fell in with an order of warrior-preistesses who strengthend Rai's drive for balance. Rai realized that with her martial training and strong will the only sensible lifestyle would be that of a warrior, so she enlisted in the Kyodai Interstellar Militia.
Rai was assigned to a regiment of working-class soldiers on older-model NCAs and quickly learned to maintain the machines long after their operational limits. However, her unit was of so little signifigance that Rai could basically pick her battles - she was little more than a civilian with a gun, honor bound to protect the empire as she saw fit.
Her desire to create balance in the universe has led her to unquestioningly aid others. For every ounce of deadly she has a pound of mercy and never makes killing her opponent the objective of her battles. While this has drawn scrutiny from hard-nosed Kyodai Samurai they mostly write off her actions as those of a mere peasant.

The Ochya is one of Maruyama Foundry's older NCAs developed during the middle stages of Gedium proliferation. Built with resource-conservation in mind the Ochya series was fairly small compared to other NCAs and had an unusually light reactor, even for it's day. Unable to carry high-power beam weapons or maneuving thrusters, it relied on it's unusually thick armor to keep it alive. Although the Ochya line was totally phased out after it's third generation in favor of more agile machines, it requires less maintainance than Maruyama's more recent Katoki design. Because they are no longer the ideal frontliner, most of the Ochya model NCAs reminaing are used primarily as service bots, and are equipped with nano-assembly arrays that can restore armor to nearby NCAs. Due to its excellent survivability despite a lack of mobility, the Ochya can concentrate on supporting other machines even while under fire, a trait that makes it welcome on a battlefield of many. On its own, however, the Ochya is commonly at a loss for mobility and must hope it can win the damage race - repairs usually aren't an option in a fast-paced duel as time is much better spent firing weapons than trying to fix damage.

Protoype LaRaSoRa: The Ochya ver.3 features a prototype LaRaSoRa (laser-radio-sonar-radar) imaging system that creates a virtual depiction of the battlefield based on input from several sensor types. It allows the pilot to 'see' from different positions than that of his or her NCA, but due to it's experimental nature the Ochya ver.3's LaRaSoRa is more of an auxiliary system that aguments the standard optics. It mainly helps locate targets that would normally be out of the line of sight for remote weapons like fly-by-wire missiles and orbit cannons.
Deffensive-
Basic Repair System (not implemented yet): a nano-assembly array that can project over a short distance, this attatchment can be used to restore armor to both friendly units and the unit equipped with it. It cannot, however, repair more complicated structural elements of an NCA such as actuators and sensors. It requires a small amount of scrapmetal to run but this can often be found on any battlefield where NCAs are in need of repairs.
Armor-
Ochya-series armor is naturally thick, and while it doesn't offer any special defensive features it can take some serious punishment.
