Here are some important Heavy Arms terms and phrases that you should know in order to better enjoy your game.
=================================================
Nuclear Combat Armor (NCA)- NCAs are the primary fighting unit of the future. These machines range in size from 15 tons up to 140 tons, and can carry an impressive range of firepower. Due to sophisticated nuerolink systems these mecha seem to learn from their pilots, and through time and practice can learn to react as their pilot does.
Nueromap- This is the nuero-link system found on all NCAs after the creation of Gedium reactors. The Nueromap system makes a detailed copy of the pilot's particular brain wave patterns and learns to recognize certain spikes and changes that indicate reactions and reflexes from the pilot. In this way, the mecha can learn to predict your desired movements and react much faster than it could without. Veteran pilots almost don't have to pilot their NCA, the machine almost being an extension of themselves.
AMSEM (Alternate Motivation System Equipped Mecha)- A mecha designed for AMSyst is a mecha that has more than one mode of being. In other words, an AMSEM is a mecha that can transform into one or more modes. That could be for any number of things, such as a tracked tank mode, or some sort of space/atmospheric fighter mode. If a player so chooses to have an AMSEM, it will not affect their stats, just the descriptive aspect of the RPG.
Nuke- Pilots who have been for any extensive amount of time learn to affectionately call their NCAs nukes. It's easier to say and has a bit of a threatening nature to it. Pilots also have a tendency to call themselves nukers at times.
Gedium- In the late 30th century a new crystalline mineral was discovered that had an interesting and revolutionary property. When a highly focused beam of light (laser) was shined on Gedium, it caused instant fusion. The mineral, nicknamed Dragon's Breath, is the bases for all modern fusion reactors.
Credits- Credits are the universal form of currency. All nations have their own currency, but credits are a way of exchanging funds into universal and equal terms so that trade can take place between each nation.
(Will update with more terms as time goes on)
